We represent the RPAS industry with government and regulatory bodies. Through the hard work of our committee, we have developed working relationships with key stakeholders including the Department for Transport DfT, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, the CAA, as well as BBGA, BMFA, BALPA, Innovate UK, BSI, RAeS and many others, where we actively champion greater co-operation with the membership.
We engage with other airspace users and manned aviation bodies for an inclusive airspace. We represent the RPAS industry in key airspace-related committee meetings.
We also engage with local authorities, and develop awareness of drone user cases and best practices for operations approvals. We represent the drone community in key committees, such as SASIG, the forum for local authorities and other regional representatives.
Finally, we engage with the police forces, including the National C-UAV Stakeholder Advisory Group, to best address law enforcement and misuse issues.
We strive to become the “place to go to” for those key stakeholders.
